2450 Battery

Description

• The CR2450 is a lithium coin-cell (button) battery, with a nominal voltage of 3.0 V.

• Its physical dimensions are approximately 24 mm in diameter and 5.0–5.1 mm in height.

• It uses a lithium / manganese dioxide (Li/MnO₂) chemical system

• It’s non-rechargeable — designed for single use until depleted.

• Stable output voltage of 3 V, which stays fairly constant over much of its discharge.

• High energy density: despite its small size, it stores a decent amount of energy for compact devices.

• Long shelf life / low self-discharge: The datasheet shows self-discharge of ~1% per year

• Wide operating temperature range: It can operate reliably in challenging conditions (for example from around –30 °C up to +60 °C) depending on brand.
